Mini Bootcamp (March/April and June/July)

Product Alignment Workshop

Session type: Interactive workshop
Platform: Mural (Digital Whiteboard for collaboration)
Length: 3 hours
Max participants: 6 people x 3 teams (We need to separate the sessions if there are more participants)
Goal: Align team members around values, goals, and vision for developing the product, which set the foundation moving forward.
  • Product vision alignment
  • Product roadmap
  • Understanding target audience and their pain points
  • Defining challenges and identifying rooms for improvement

Concept Finalization & Pitching Preparation Workshop

Session type: Interactive workshop
Platform: Mural (Digital Whiteboard for collaboration)
Length: 3 hours
Max participants: 6 people x 3 teams (We need to separate the sessions if there are more participants)
Goal: Organise your concept and solution into a clear and detailed user flow and story that is easy to understand.
  • Detailed concept sketch and storyboarding
  • Finalizing product concept & value proposition
  • Pitching Preparation

Intensive Bootcamp (August/September)

Product Design Fundamentals

Session type: Lecture & Interactive workshop
Platform: Mural (Digital Whiteboard for collaboration)
Length: 3 hours
Max participants: 6 people x 3 teams (We need to separate the sessions if there are more participants)
Goal: Understand the basic and the process involved in designing digital product, including user research, UX design, and rapid prototyping
  • Understanding the product design process: The Double Diamond
  • User research: Empathising with customers and understand their pain points
  • UX Design fundamentals and best practices
  • Rapid prototyping for digital product

Concept Validation and Market Research

Session type: Lecture & Interactive workshop
Platform: Mural (Digital Whiteboard for collaboration)
Length: 3 hours
Max participants: 6 people x 3 teams (We need to separate the sessions if there are more participants)
Goal: Understand the importance of validating your concept and various methods of conducting it.
  • Market research
  • Building prototype and prepare for user testing
  • User testing: How to plan, prepare, and analyse the result

Cost and Benefit Analysis Workshop

Session type: Interactive workshop
Platform: Mural (Digital Whiteboard for collaboration)
Length: 3 hours
Max participants: 6 people x 3 teams (We need to separate the sessions if there are more participants)
Goal: Analyse the cost and benefit of the project and decide if the product is worth building
  • Identify the costs needed to develop the product
  • Calculate the benefit and impact of the product after launch
  • Using impact-effort matrix to prioritise features inside the product

Improved Concept Finalization & Pitching Preparation Workshop

Session type: Interactive workshop
Platform: Mural (Digital Whiteboard for collaboration)
Length: 3 hours
Max participants: 6 people x 3 teams (We need to separate the sessions if there are more participants)
Goal: Identify challenges and room for improvement based on the result of concept validation and prepare for final concept pitching.

  • Perancangan materi: berdasarkan metode Design Sprint, based on the official Design Sprint (The most practical step-by-step methodology to solve problems by implementing Design Thinking in business) training from Jake Knapp (the original creator of Design Sprint) and AJ&Smart
  • Pre-training briefings with client
  • Workshop facilitation, oleh fasilitator yang telah certified dan berpengalaman dalam memimpin percepatan inovasi digital dan penerapan design thinking dalam lingkup akademis (Master & PhD academic research experience in Human-Computer Interaction Design di Tokyo dan London) dan untuk industri (Pendiri konsultansi desain di Jepang dengan klien dari korporasi menengah dan besar (Industri Telco, Engineering, IT, etc.), universitas (Ritsumeikan, Waseda, etc.), dan pemerintah Jepang dan Indonesia (Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia di Tokyo)
  • Sesi interactive hands-on workshop (bukan hanya lecture satu arah). Peserta akan langsung terjun ke dalam workshop penerapan untuk identifikasi masalah yang tepat dan menemukan ide untuk solusi yang inovatif.

Tentang Pemateri

 
Gilang is a Co-Founder of Next Creation Inc., a digital innovation studio in Japan, where he helps companies discover opportunities for innovation and validate new ideas to solve real business challenges with human-centric approach.
Gilang holds a PhD in Computer Science, specialised in Human-Computer Interaction, from University of London, and Master's Degree (with Dean's List Award) in Media Design after completing his residencies in three leading centres of design and innovation: Keio University in Tokyo, Pratt Institute in New York, and Royal College of Art + Imperial College in London, as part of Global Innovation Design program.
As an academia, he has contributed to several international publications (papers and book chapter) on mediating emotion and empathy in intimate communication through multi-sensory technology.
